Bloomfield, New Jersey: Not Published, 1930. Manuscript. Not Bound. Very Good. Item #027431

Handwritten; 2 1/2 pages: "… I want a job on your paper but knowing the usual reaction of a busy man to such a request, I am going to be subtle and first tell you why I know I can be of service...having graduated from Seton Hall College in So. Orange N.J. only this year...born of Irish parents who had gone (to Scotland) from County Cavan. Frequent trips to Ireland, about fifteen in all lasting from two to three months each, gave me a first hand insight into the temperament, the interests, the mode of life and the philosophy of living that make the Irishman the vital personality he is. I have cut turf in Cavan and watched for the Civic guard from a poteen still on a Donegal hilltop..." Not dated and circa late 1920s or so. Approx. 8 1/2" x 11" size; in very good condition.
