Dated April 22, 1926 on Castellini's letterhead; 1 page: "… I wish to congratulate you upon your victory against Mr. John Devoy of the Gaelic-American Publishing Company. I feel reasonably sure that from now on Mr. Devoy will be more careful in his references to you and your Paper. It does seem to me that in this day of enlightenment we should be able to disagree without becoming abusive. I hope in the future Mr. Devoy will have more respect for your opinion and views..." Joseph J. Castellini (d. 1949) was a Cincinnati commission merchant and civic leader, who had spoken for and was published concerning the American Association for the Recognition of the Irish Republic. Letter approx. 7 1/4" x 10 1/2" size; in very good condition.
