Group of to & fro correspondence from financial analyst R.H. Towner (1870 - 1950) of the NYC Towner Rating Bureau and C.W. Fecke of the Cunard Steam Ship Co. regarding requests and sailing details made by Towner at various times. The Cunard half of the letters are typed originals signed on their letterhead of 25 Broadway New York, (9) letters; The Towner letters are typed carbons of letters sent in reply or inquiry to Cunard, (4) letters. One of the subjects is Towner's inquiry about whether there would be an express steamer direct to Liverpool for the Grand National race. Approx. 8 1/2" x 11" size; Old fold lines, light soiling; in very good condition.
