F 156 pages; tissue-guarded engraved plates + engraved title page, with folding map of the Mediterranean at front; including material on Gibraltar, Temples of Juno Lucina and Concord, Palermo, Naples, The New Harbour at Rhodes, Town and Harbour of Salerno, Valetta, Taormina, Ruins of Carthage, much more; newly rebound by Lamb & Buck in cloth covered boards, dark blue morocco leather spine, gilt spine titles, gilt rules, edges gilt; good imprints of the plates; one bottom corner of one plate discolored, not affecting image area; slight wear to the binding; some foxing to first few pages; one old (paper flaw?) discoloration to title page and last page of index, perhaps from old stamp or laid-in item; previous owner name on edge of title page; edge-gilding faded; very good condition overall.
