Large plan or land-map; accomplished in blue ink with some added coloring & detail for a meandering stream and a few structures; with much elevation data; also two locust post surveyor's benchmarks indicated; land bordered at the north with D. Riker property, to the east with the Bowery Bay Road, the Jackson property and a small cemetery; other ownership names noted are P. Titus and Baldwin; the plan's title information handwritten on one of the panels on the reverse; no engineer or surveyor noted or date, circa 1890; accomplished on polished linen architectural 'onionskin,' which remains strong; approx. 42" x 56`" large size; some edge, tips wear, browned towards edges & along a few fold lines, little bit of holing at center line; as is reverse, especially at exposed surfaces and with some soiling; few 1" chips to material at top and bottom edges, no loss to the text or drawing; in good condition; interesting Long Island City, real estate development & community history; now known as the Ditmars-Steinway neighborhood of Astoria Queens.
