Poster signed "Grace Hartigan" at middle bottom left in black ink, a good clear signature; Black and white; approx. 11 3/4" x 15"; depicting the artists' abstract work "Poxabogue" by Grace Hartigan (1922-2008) American Abstract Expressionist painter of the New York School, friend of de Kooning, Pollock and many others, herself a very influential force in early pop art and widely collected; Robert Keene, a Southampton, Long Island NY town historian, bookseller and publisher - cultivated friendships and social interaction with inner-circle artists & literati in the Hamptons, also occasionally printing books & ephemeral material of local and regional interest, here promoting his then-wife Hartigan, a very brief one-year marriage for the artist; slight wear; in very good condition, a nice ephemeral art history item of the New York School artists Very Good (Item ID: 20658)
