F Group of ephemeral paper regarding a large advertising poster order for the famous Pawnee Bill (Gordon William Lillie, 1860-1942) Wild West show; including: May 8, 1917 the Erie Lithographing & Printing Co. invoice sheet, noting that they had sent H.L. Cuddihy of the Luna Amusement Co. a group of stock samples of the Wild West lithos in their stock, giving sizes of each in 'sheets'; may 9, a file copy of a letter from Luna Amusement, asking for their order and explaining details of sizes, which numbers of the samples to order and title-line of "Pawnee Bills Pioneer Days"; May 12, Erie Lithographing on their letterhead, acknowledging the order and shipment of same; with a small (invoice-paying?) envelope with the Erie Litho. Co. address imprinted and a card giving the proper mailing address for the company and the original mailing envelope from Erie, postally cancelled; letters with some edgewear, old residue from paper clip removal at tops, chipped, no loss; interesting American West showtime, Luna Park Coney Island and lithographic printing history ephemeral items for this show.
