Queens County New York: 1804. Two documents; court session of July, 1804; giving the full names of the panel, with their town of residence and occupation, about 35 names selected; Jurors selected included David Roe of Hempstead, Benjamin Onderdonk, James Hewlet, Latting Carpenter and Timothy Titus Jun. of Oyster Bay, Charles Frost, Rodman Hicks, Samuel Nichols, mostly 'yeomen' and some carpenters, innkeepers and merchants noted as occupations, residing in Jamaica, areas of Hempstead; Grand Jurors list with names only, and give Jonah Hallett as the Foreman, including Daniel Kissam, Laurence Roe, Minne Schenck, William Onderdonck, David Gardiner, about 23 names in all; approx.8 " x 12 1/2" size, the first item on a folded sheet, only 2 panels with the list, others are blank; the other Grand Jury list is on one side; written in a fairly strong 'court room' hand; some light wear, darkening, old fold lines; in very good condition, interesting Long Island ephemeral justice, courts & law history items.
