H. Wiggins, Sabbath School, Browns, Vails, Gardiners, Redmonds, Rackett, Nowell, Tuthill, Shephered, Jeller, Eldridge, Rogers, other family names; interesting occurrences: Nov. 8 1931 "...Following the Morning Service the Pastor tendered his resignation as pastor the church. Immediately following the evening service a special meeting of the Church was called to take action on the pastors resignation. Prayer was offered by Dec. W.H. Wiggins. Motion made and second the pastors resignation not be accepted. Motion carried...a committee to wait upon the astor informing him of the action of the church...vote of confidence in the pastor and the cause of Righteousness in the action which he was impelled to take in slander and blackmail was wholly justified in doing what he did to his opponent namely Mr. Harry Burchill Brooklin N.Y...." (with a letter tipped-in regarding the case & reopening of the case against the Pastor); with a few other notes and letters laid or tipped-in; all written in good legible hands; 8" x 9 3/4" approx. format; some wear and rubbing to covers; very good condition and interesting Long Island church and society history for Suffolk County.
