San Juan De Puerto Rico: Instituto De Cultura Puertorriquena, 1976. F Not paginated, but 108 pages; side-by-side Spanish-English text; black and white illustrated throughout with Schwartz photographs documenting the archaeological remains of the mythical world of the ancient Tainos Indians, aboriginal populace of old Puerto Rico; inscribed and signed on the front endpaper by the photographer to Robert Fitzpatrick; Neikrug Gallery poster also inscribed to Fitzpatrick by Schwartz, illustrated with a photograph of his packaged phone entitled "Christo"; two signed framed photographs are in the book identified as "Penon" or boulder near the Rio Grande de Jayuya River (this stone was used by the Tainos to carve artifacts) & "Cadena Montanosa" the mountain range between Ciales and Villalba; photographs are approx. 12" x 15" framed, with photographers signature below the image in pencil right; some edge, tips wear to softcover of book, coming loose from 'perfect' binding, contents clean and in very good condition; poster with some dampstain to left margin, would matte out or clean; framed photographs very clear and very good condition; (there is a Robert Fitzpatrick Director of the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago-perhaps at one time part of his personal collection?); a nice group of material especially nice for the inscription from the photographer and the inclusion of the signed photographs in the book.
