Evidently a family disagreement of some proportion; the sender, Anicantha MacDonald, is aggrieved over the perceived ill-treatment of herself and her aged father by Gen. MacDonald; she quotes her letter to MacDonald asking for an apology and resumption of familial harmony and quotes from the letter of Gen. MacDonald, attempting to show that "...he is settling down intoa peevish, captious old man... "; on two single sheets and one double sheet of very good Windsor Mills paper; approx. 6 1/2" x 5" written to sister (?) Elisa; with original envelope mailer, canceled New York July 1, three cent postage, adddressed to Mrs. Macdonald care of A. Macdonald Esq.
