Margolies, (1897-1974 [?]); etcher, painter, teacher, writer, lecturer, studied at Cooper Union, member of the National Academy of Design, did work for the WPA; (ref: WWW 1999); Pencil signed in the lower right corner by the artist; 9 1/2" height x 11 3/4" width image size, overall size with borders approximately 12" x 15", retaining original deckle edge to paper, not trimmed; blue-black on white; winter woods snow scene, depicting a couple of deer, trees, hills in the backgournd; very clean, exceptional condition, accompanied by it's original tissue-guard & hinged cardstock mount as bought from the AAA, with the title card, giving more background on the artist and his activity; very good plus condition.
