Sanford Florida: Ensminger Bros. Photographers, A cabinet card albumen photograph of this church and congregants; sign on church wall identifies as "Yglesia Cristiana Emanuel Cong'l"; image size 4 1/4" x 7 3/8", with approximately 1/2" border; with the photographic studio's printed advertisement on back of mount, stating that: "Ensminger Bros. Photographers, P.O. Box. 204, Sanford Fla. Invite attention to their list of Views of South Florida Scenery from three hundred selected negatives, embracing choice subjects, and A fine list of War Views lately comprised in the general Collection"; The Ensminger Bros. were commercial photographers in the late 1800's; a collection of Spanish-American War era photographs were commissioned by two British women, Sarah Criggal and her sister, who were from the Isle of Wight, England and were visiting Florida. This imaged does not appear in the USF online site as part of their collection. (information from USF Tampa Campus Library); some edge, tips wear to mount, top with a 1/4" bump & closed tear; some soiling and a bit of spotting to image, still fairly clear; good condition.
