First issue of this literary magazine, printed in a large format 17 1/2" x 11 1/2" approximate size; ten individual sheets, printed one side broadside-style; each sheet loosely laid into paper folder, with paper paste-down illustration; pages; black and white illustrated throughout; (From the Editor's Preface- Norman Moser): "Most of the writers and artists whose work fills out this inaugural edition of Illuminations would not be considered publishable by professional magazines that make up what has elsewhere been called the Establishment. Many have yet to reach thirty. Most do not, I gather, consider themselves Beat.
